Who will you vote for?

I was asked the other day as to who did you vote for.With the civic polls around I promtly and enthusiastically answered BJP,and on all the occations I observed the person asking me the question either scrathing their head or give a disbelieving look back.It was then broken to me that they was something on the plannet called Fame Gurukul,something I still do not have a clue about except that I caught a promo on television of the show.Well telling me that it was on the lines of the Indian Idol show did not help much as I missed the 'so perceived' mega event as in the hostel you are least bothered about the television.Guys all I can say is that Fame Gurukul is a poor copy of its (i believe it to be so) predecesor Indian Idol and yes till I last found out there was hardly anyone who had voted in this event atleast amongst my friends.another thing is that poor Mandira Bedi after a start-stop film career as cricket host and in soaps is now doing a rather apt for her standards run of the mill achoring show.

Since I am at home I and I had so old friends around and lots of free time and needless to say sufficient money on hand I did see a lot of movies this June. Mr.&Mrs.Smith has to go down as an entertaining but predictable film with decent camerawork.Brad Pitt and Anjolina Jolie manage to look sexy and for there part look damn hot between the sheets.Moving on the highly bongised film Parineeta was a treat to the eye.I despite being a bong had not read on heard about htis book and therefore i wont be able to compare the film and the book but all I can say is Saif steals the show throughout.the film also come with awesome picturisation and terrific music that is absolutly garden fresh.

FINAL EXAMS

When you have not studied for the whole semester taking the minor examinations as a trivial academic blotch in your semester then week to go before the final exam is fucking serious time as is with me.
Mission 1:

guyz start off with the first thing get hold of my syllabus book(if you dont find yours claim somebody elses as your own).
develope an idea about the syllabus and what comes under what paper
in short develope basic ideas and ready yourself for the titanic hurdle.

Mission 2:

What next:
sit down and study good joke
find and arrange books
(I bought 2 brand new books days before the final exams.)
get a khata ie.a note book and clear out a small 3"into 2" space in your room and clear the crap out of that place.
all set to go.

Mission 3:

Spend time elaborating you faint and dismal chances
Participate in GDs and talk shows discussing the futillity of exams and the current dismal standing and a probable hands down defeat in the exams.
Take heart from each others misery.
Believe that you have very little time left in life and enjoy life
Go for movies dinners but dont get senti or run into an attractive girl.
That all the more ruins your chance of recovering during exams.
They call it the lull before the storm;i love it.

disgraceful top engineering college rankings

Dataquest and India Today came up with different ranking at about the same time regarding a crutial issue the rankings of engineering colleges in the country.

The stark contrast in the relative ranks of the institutes in the
two surveys leaves you hoodwinkled and left asking the all to probable question how far are these surveys fruitful and exactly how much off it is a gimmick.

For example ;IIT delhi tops the India Today list but is not in the list published by Dataquest where as IIT Rourkee is placed a dismal 16 behind four NITs.What ever may be said of the NITs it is quite obvious that lesser performing NITs like Rourkela and Kurukshetra are promoted to the top 20 in what will continue to raise eyebrows where as Nits in Calicut and Bhopal who sure deserve a mention a not on the elite list.

Further more the India Today list has BIT Mesra and BE College shibpur in the top 10 which is to be blatantly honest fucking bad research work done.Both institutions are now reduced to being average colleges easily being outperformed by others.

Jadavpur University however is dismally stacked at 25. It seem sthat this quality college will never be able to get national acclaim.

Pretigious colleges like the DCE and BITS Pilani take a nose dive to aquire 20th and 15th place respectively.

IIIT Hyderabad and IIIT Allahabad dock in the 10-20 region and surprise surprise IIIT kolkata a college that even has closed down is ranked a high 27 raising all the more questions regarding about the god damn methodology used in these surveys.

Its a fucking good publicity stunt by various players in the print media to grab attention but it does come with daring and unbelivable conclusions.

The survey is nothing but a shit pile.
